Don’t be a Loser

When you play relationship games, everyone loses.

Regardless of your current commitment level, managing expectations is key to any successful relationship/booty call/sex friendship/one night stand, etc.

This is especially important for all you playah-playahs out there.

If you’re looking to keep it foot loose and fancy free it’s imperative to make sure you’re both on the same page.

Even when you’re up front from the start, things can get a little awkward, and people’s feelings can get hurt.

This is when you have to man up and be an adult.

Instead of disappearing when a girl gets too close, just tell her the truth.

“Look, I think we want different things. You want me to be your boyfriend and I just want to put my penis in  you. I could say we’ll stay friends, but we more than likely won’t. If you want to get freaky every now and then though, that’s cool with me. Just don’t expect anything more than a ‘hey what’s up?’ text somewhere in the midnight – 2am range.”

Either she’ll think you’re the world’s biggest douchebag or she’ll appreciate the honesty and you’ll live happily ever after, casually bumping uglies until one of you finds something better.

Now for all you lady playah-playahs, the same rules apply.

There is no excuse for doing a dine and dash on sexy time.

Be up front from the beginning and if you think a man is catching feelings –

DON’T RUN!

Be an adult and have the difficult conversation.

“I really enjoy spending time with you (getting penetrated by you) but I think we want different things. You want to lock all this fabulousness down but I just want to jump your bones every now and then. We can continue to be sex friends so long as you understand there will not be anything more down the road. I’ll continue to text you after I’ve had a couple (too many) and am looking to get stuffed.”

Most guys will jump at the offer of strings free sex. If that’s not what he’s looking for, he’ll appreciate your honesty and you’ll amicably go your separate ways.

So remember, act like an adult.

Be honest, always use protection, and everyone wins.

Happy Humping 🙂

Don’t Call Me Pretty

When I was a kid I loved showing off how smart I was.

I read at an early age and always excelled at school.

Yes, I was that kid in class.

Pick me! Pick me! I know the answer!

And I loved the attention.

I loved being smart.

Yes, I was a dork.

I really searched for a worse picture (trust me – there were plenty). I’m just vain enough to have destroyed most of them. Gotta love the 80’s hair and glasses though!

Then one day, it all changed.

I grew out of my awkward phase, got some contact lenses, figured out what to do with all that hair, had my braces removed, and was finally allowed to wear make-up.

I started to be more interested in how to expertly apply eye shadow than memorizing all the Presidents.

And the praise I received changed.

I still excelled at school, rose my hand first, and gave smarty pants answers, but no one really noticed.

Now instead of being “so smart”, I was “so pretty”

And I loved it!

But it changed everything.

As an attractive female I learned that using my looks would get me what I wanted faster than a valid and well-thought out argument.

Which I learned as I got older is not appreciated by other women.

Quite frankly it made me lazy and once or twice, almost got me into trouble.

It took me a few years, but I’ve realized being pretty isn’t all that important.

You can’t put pretty on a resume.

It’s not a marketable skill.

Most of the time I’ve found it to be a hindrance in my professional life.

We need to start praising our young girls for their achievements and skills.

They don’t give these out for good looks

NOT their appearance.

Being pretty isn’t an achievement.

It’s a happy accident of genetics.

It’s time we stop treating it like the holy grail.

Quit Yer Bitchin’

Chick flicks get a bad rap but, I love them!

Especially The Wedding Date.

Featuring this hunk-a-hunk of burning love.

Yum!

In the movie this slice of delicious is just as smart as he is sexy, and tells our hapless heroine, Debra Messing, that every woman has the exact love life they really want.

Love her!

Which, when you think about it, is also true of life in general.

Life is about choices people.

If you don’t like something about your life make a different choice.

This applies to all facets of life.

Hate your job?

Start looking for a new one.

In a shitty relationship?

Get out!

Always complaining about your looks/weight?

Go to the gym. Get a new haircut.

Stop complaining and start doing.

No one is going to fix your problems for you.

So quit your bitching and start making some changes!

Hey Dumbass!

We’ve all seen it, hell, most of us have done it.

Driving along, head bobbing back and forth between the road and your phone.

STOP IT!!!

But I’m not like everyone else, I’m good at it.

No. You’re. Not.

I only do it at stop signs/stop lights.

That’s like saying you’re only an axe murderer on the weekend.

Here are some scary statistics for all you assholes who think they’re above the law. (Don’t worry, I’m one too)

Last year 25% of car accidents involved cell phone.

In case you were wondering that’s 1.3 million car crashes.

Sending or receiving a text takes your attention away from the road for an average of 5 seconds.

If you’re traveling 55 mph that equals driving the length of a football field without looking at the road.

You are 23 times more likely to crash while texting.

So how do we stop?

Some smarty pants in Belgium came up with this solution.

Wales took a more graphic approach with this super intense PSA.

Take a look at your last text message.

Was it actually important?

Was it worth risking your life for?

Don’t be a dumbass.

Take the pledge.

I am. Will you?
