Afraid For My Life

So I finally joined the 21st century and traded in my trusty old Crackberry Torch for a shiny new Samsung Galaxy S III.

Isn’t she pretty?! 🙂

I can’t lie though, the last week and a half has had a serious learning curve.

In case you were wondering, there’s absolutely nothing that prevents drunk texting/dialing better than not knowing how to use you phone!

I’ve managed to get a handle on it though and I think I might be in love.

But, now I’m terrified!

My whole life can be organized and cataloged on this one sleek piece of technology.

BUT WHAT IF I LOSE IT??!!??

I’ve talked before on A-n-A about my beloved planner.

I’m sorry girl. It’s not you. It’s me.

I never thought we’d part ways, but it’s time to retire the old girl 😦

I’ve spent a considerable amount of time transferring over all the comings and goings of my life from old school to new school.

So far it’s working out pretty well.

The calendar that came on my phone is pretty robust, although I do wish there was a better way to view my full day at a glance.

Supposedly I can sync to the calendar on my gmail, which is awesome! If only I could figure out how to do that…

I’ve also found a couple apps to help me keep track of my never-ending to-do list.

Astrid is an amazing app that reminds you to do EVERYTHING! If I miss a call this little cutie-patootie even reminds me to return,  saying, “Don’t you like getting a callback?”.

How cute is this little nugget?!

Evernote might be the coolest memo pad I’ve ever seen. I can make notes on anything via text, picture, or voice command. It’s pretty fricking cool! And it syncs to a cloud app on my lap top so I’ll never lose my notes if I happen to lose my phone!

An elephant never forgets!

So kids, how do you back-up your device?
Do you have a favorite organizer app?
Any suggestions for a better calendar app?
