Keeping with the turning 30/growing older theme of last week’s post, I decided to make a list of things you are NEVER too old to do.
30 activities guaranteed to make you feel like a kid again 🙂
1.) Play in the rain. Dance, jump in puddles, make mud pies – whatever – just have fun!
2.) Carve pumpkins.
3.) Color – crayon and paper, paint and canvas, pen and ink – doesn’t matter – as long as you’re creating and sharing your vision.
4.) Swing – rope swing, tire swing, regular old metal playground swing – so long as you pump your legs, close your eyes, and jump!
5.) Having your mom take care of you when you don’t feel well – makes you feel better at any age.
6.) Put up Christmas decorations.
7.) Build a snowman, have a snow ball fight, make snow angels, go sledding, pretty much anything that involves playing in snow. Extra points for drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows to warm up after 🙂
8.) Make a sand castle.
9.) Ask why? Ever talked to a little kid? They have a “why” for everything. Curiosity keeps you young.
10.) Have a dance party.
11.) Build a fort out of sheets and pillows.
12.) Roll down a hill.
13.) Play hide and seek.
15.) Buy a popsicle from the ice cream truck.
16.) Eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with the crusts cut off and potato chips smushed inside.
18.) Jump in a big pile of leaves.
19.) Twirling around in circles until you’re dizzy.
20.) Play kickball.
21.) Riding a bike. Extra points for not using your hands.
22.) Drink chocolate milk. Make sure to blow bubbles with your straw 🙂
23.) Play a board game. Extra points for Shoots and Ladder, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Sorry, or Candy Land.
24.) Play laser tag.
25.) Go to an arcade. Play Skee-ball and/or Whack-a-mole.
26.) Run through a sprinkler. Extra points for using a Slip and Slide.
27.) Have a sleep-over. Pajamas mandatory. Cocktails optional.
28.) Make a prank phone call. Extra points for accents and Bart Simpson references!
29.) Lay down in a field, watch the clouds float by, find as many shapes/figures as you can.
30.) Make s’mores. An open fire is the best but the broiler on your oven works just fine too.
These are just my personal favorites. Feel free to add your own! What makes you feel like a kid again??
